APCO 2006 Conference Video

APCO (the Association of Public-Safety Communication Officials) is a professional organization for 9-1-1 operators and dispatchers all over the world. In 2006, their meeting producer hired us to write the event scripts, and to produce an opening video for APCO’s annual International Conference.

To help tell the story of their profession, we took a crew into an emergency call center in Orlando and followed one complete shift through eight hours of 9-1-1 calls over the July Fourth weekend. We left with a new level of respect for the difficulty - and importance - of their profession, and we hope some of that admiration rubbed off in their video.
